    Smile Best Free PHP Editor

    I am wanting to start using php but don't know what the best free php editor is to get. I am on a vista computer. If anyone is able to tell me what program to get and where to begin would be very appriciated.

    In my personal opinion the best editor out there is PhpED from NuSpere

    I cannot recommend it enough!

    Quick keyboard shortcuts for FTP etc, code completion from classes and functions and also it was a remote debugger so you can step through code

    It is amazing, buy it today!

    EditPlus is not free. I use it a lot, but for coding, i don't like it. I use Send Studio for eclipse for most of the time. Recently i found NotePad++ that seems good for programming (if you don't want project) and is Free. I will have replaced EditPlus with NotePad if it have the Project feature, which allow you to easily open files with shortcut.
