    notepad dont have line number at the side. and editor is cool with that numbers

    lol I am with osmose. I use notepad, and for the number line count, I have a little secret on how to do that myself, but why say so, since many use everything BUT notepad. Regardless, I also use dreamweaver to do such things.

    notepad is only for people who have lots of time in their hand and nothing much to do. there are lots of more powerful editors that can save lots of time rather than just using notepad so that you can show off to everyone how smart you are making stuff without any software help.

    I use Dreamweaver. Do you people who use notepad remember how annoying it is to have one little error in your coding and to spend hours going through it trying to sort it out? Dreamweaver spots when you have an error, and if you really want to show off just use the code imput box

    php expert editor is great too. And if you download the manual you can have all the help you need in php

    & i will kill you all , coz i use : microsoft NOTEPAD to play with php...
    Rotfl - but serious in my opinion notepad owns if you know what is what - i mainly make scripts by my own & notepad is damn handy & doesnt throw at me a bilion features that i dont need & some flashing lights & poping up submenus to make me feel more PRO ...

    I'm using Crimson Editor for windows (free)
    This program is fast in loading time and also small in size
    it also offers many features for programming languages:
    HTML, C/C++, Perl, and Java.

    i use notepad , but i am looking for better one .so i can edit my code easier
