do anyone know if there is anyway to prevent spyware from getting on your machine besides using programs like Spybot search and destroy or Adaware programs?

im tired of having to run these programs every week to get rid of it all.

sweeper is tral version ,and it is make my computer very slow when startup..now i m using ad-aware,but no protection at startup

1. Don't try to run any program that you don't really know.
2. Don't use any ad-ware.
3. Use firewall to protect your PC from network connection.
4. Always keep your system having the newest update(hotfix).

Yeah, i have to agree The spyware troubled me too, but then i got spyweeper and all the problems were gone. Spysweeper was the best chosen ant-spyware of 2004. So it rocks

I use Ad-aware 6 and I am happy whit it, it just does it's work.
Hitman pro is allsow a good one.
