കെ.സി.ബി.സി അധ്യക്ഷനും വാരാപ്പുഴ അതിരൂപതാ ആര്*ച്ച് ബിഷപ്പുമായ ഡാനിയല്* അച്ചാരുപറമ്പില്* (70) കാലം ചെയ്തു. തിങ്കളാഴ്ച്ച രാവിലെ പതിനൊന്ന് മണിയോടെ കൊച്ചിയിലെ സ്വകാര്യ ആസ്​പത്രിയില്* വെച്ചാണ് അന്ത്യം സംഭവിച്ചത് . കരള്*രോഗത്തെ തുടര്*ന്ന് കുറെ നാളുകളായി ചികിത്സയില്* ആയിരുന്ന ബിഷപ്പിന്റെ ആരോഗ്യനില കഴിഞ്ഞ ദിവസം അത്യന്തം വഷളായിരുന്നു. പള്ളിപ്പോര്*ട്ട് അച്ചാരുപറമ്പില്* റോക്കിയുടെയും മോണിക്കയുടെയും മകനായി 1939 മെയ് 12 ന് ജനിച്ച അച്ചാരുപറമ്പില്* 1966 മാര്*ച്ച് 14 നാണ് വൈദിക പട്ടം സ്വീകരിച്ചു.1996 ജൂണ്* 14 ന് ആര്*ച്ച് ബിഷപ്പായി നിയമിതനായി .എറണാകുളത്തെ സെന്*്റ് ഫ്രാന്*സീസ് കത്തീഡ്രല്* പള്ളിയില്* പൊതുര്*ശനത്തിന് വയ്ക്കും. കബറടക്കം ബുധനാഴ്ച്ച 3.30-ന് നടക്കും

Dr. Daniel Acharuparambils death was heartbreaking news for hundreds and thousands of Christian devotees and members of other communities in Kerala, as was not only dear to Christian community but to Hindus and Muslims as well because of his approach towards society.

Despite being a Christian clergy he has penned many Hindu spirituality and other religion books.

Acharuparambil was President of the Kerala Catholic Bishops' Council (KCBC).

Various people from different socio cultural representatives converged at the hospital to see him for the last time.

Minister Prof. K.V. Thomas on this occasion said that Dr. Daniel Acharuparambils death was a great loss to the community and the people of Kerala.

He has been the supreme head of Varapurzha and Latin hierarchy in Kerala and always did his work with all his responsibilities which bought the latin community to a long way, I personal feel very sad in his demise said Minister Prof. K.V. Thomas in Kochi.

Born to Rocky and Monica Acharuparambil in Palliport on May 12, 1939, Acharuparambil was ordained as a priest on March 14, 1966. He was elevated as a bishop and became the Archbishop of Verapoly in Nov 3, 1996.
He was known as a scholar who delved deep into Hindu spirituality and wrote several books on the subject, including "Hindu Mysticism and Spirituality" and The Destiny of Man in the Evolutionary Thought of Sree Aurobindo."

The funeral will take place Wednesday at 3.30 p.m. in which chief clergies from different parts will participate including a representative from Vatican in Rome.
