    i'm using a mac here, and also dreamweaver 8, with contribute 3.

    i can't connect to the ftp server. can anyone help me out here?

    You can try FileZilla.
    Free and Easy to use. I'm using it to connect to ftp.bizhat.com

    Can be downloaded at http://filezilla.sourceforge.net/
