phpbb or IPB ??

I've tried both,

chose for phpBB in the end, because:

1) phpBB is GPL, you're allowed to modify whatever you like, never have to worry weather the code changes you make are legal
2) better support (personal experience only)
3) it's free :)

It seems that IPB has some better moderator features for large boards, but I must say I didn't notice myself (probably because I don't run large boards ;) ).

I have used phpbb a lot and just love it..but because ipb is not free...so i cannot try....anyone have it...[not the demo] pm me...thank you

phpBB is just about the best software out there.

phpBB - Free - User-Friendly Interface, Many awesome templates, many awesome MODs, easy-to-understand code, straight-forware ACP, and more!

IPB - Paid ($69.95 Yearly; $185 Perpetual licenses) - Ok interface, a few neat features, some nice MODs, a little bit more difficult code, bulky admin panel, etc.

vBulletin - Paid (Tons of money) - Ugly styles/interface, dumb MODs, difficult code, HUGE admin panel, taking up much not-needed space, quite terrible software! :?

SimpleMachines - Free - User-friendly interface, more..., my second favorite forum software! :)

phpbb is an board open source code6 ipb is invision power board it is forum board too. ipb is free. i use it. but it has google addsence on the botttom. but i recommedn you ipb.

I've used both, and prefer IPB. :)

PHP is easy to learn, IPB more advanced.

yes correct IPB more advanced n to complicated function to set up.
i try IPB but until now not working. i don now how to delete account
from IPB because if i want to use the same username or board name
to create a new one it does't work. anybody can advise me how delete
my account registering on set up forum IPB
