The process of bleaching also depends upon the color of the fabric. Although the resultant color for white after bleaching will be a brighter white, under normal circumstances, the resultant color of any other shade cannot be known with similar surety.

Sort Them Out
While you can choose to bleach clothes, depending upon the bleach ability of their material and color, you must sort out white clothes separately from the others. Stuff the sleeves of the dress -- if it has sleeves -- and the bodice of the dress with tissue paper that is free of acids or dyes. This ensures that the dress retains its shape and does not flatten in transit.

Seal the garment bag. Fold it carefully and tuck it gently into a strong box for traveling. Make sure that the box does not bend or fold easily, as this may cause creases in the dress once it reaches its destination.

Seal the box. If the box is strong enough, duct tape or packing tape should do the job. Do not use something like super glue, as you will want to be able to open the box once you have reached your destination.

Pack the box with the dress inside the garment bag into a hard suitcase to ensure that nothing bends or breaks in transit.
