The first one rocked but other sequels were quite good. The underlying scientific idea was good one. Like Terminator series once you get the main theme in the first sequel, then next sequel's feel a bit boring though.

the first movie was off the hook but the second and third movies seemed too filled with cgi and not as good plot as the first one

I found the sequels to be so incredibly uninvolving that I'm almost convinced that the first was a fluke.

Matrix 1 (original), was the best visual movie ....

The other versions were too expensive and was bad.... for that reason

The first movie was awesome, it gets you ready to watch things unfold. More than most series. The 2nd movie has a few key plot points, but the 3rd.... it was a little bit of a let down. Its like they just took 20 mins out of their lives to think of an ending and then ran with it. I was hoping for more, not just neo doing the same thing that so many people before him had done. When things got a lil wierd in the "real" world, I was hoping to see that the matrix lies within another and maybe even another... it would have been a better ending.... I was pissed for days after finally seeing the last movie.... But I guess one day I will watch them again.
