The buzz is that AMMA president and leading comedian and character actor Innocent will be acting in a Tamil film to be directed by Samuthirakani.

Samuthirakani is the director of the super hit Nadodigal and has recently acted opposite Mohanlal in Padmakumar directed Shikar.

Innocent who is also acting in the film struck a rapport with Samuthirakani during the shoot. The Tamil director things Innocent will shine in Tamil and has offered him a role in his next film in which Sasikumar is the hero.

Says Samuthirakani: “He is a natural and has got a terrific humour sense. I think Innaachan is suited for Tamil cinema, which is why I offered him a chance.”

If the project works out then this would be Innocent’s first Tamil film and second in another language. Remember Innocent played a character in Priyadarshan’s Doli Saja Ke Rekhna in Hindi?
