    Default download problems

    iam not able to download anything from the net except for word documents.what is the problem.

    i use win xp with service pack2 and use IE as my browser

    pls help me

    You can try to turn off the pop up blocker to see if it works

    Have you McAfee installed?
    Check your anti virus, firewall and anti spam properties.

    Go to Tools, Internet Options, Security, then go to the custom level option. Make sure that downloads are enabled. If they aren't, enable them and apply the changes. If they already are, make sure your firewall is not blocking the needed ports.

    PS: What firewall do you use?

    maybe firewall block
    or try using download maneger to donwload
