Anurag Kashyap and Kalki Koechlin fell for each other during the film ‘Dev D.’ This Hindi film director fell for the French beauty during the ‘Dev D’s direction and the duo tied the knot in a small town near Ooty, where Kalki’s French parents have been living from three decades!

The wedding was simple and was in South-Indian fashion, under a century old mango tree! The tree is considered auspicious for weddings and the duo performed the rituals and customs with great sincerity say sources. Kalki was spotted in a white pattu saree and Anurag in typical South-Indian groom attire, the pattu veshti.

The wedding was a private affair and involved only about forty guests including Abhinav Kashyap, Vikramaditya Motvane, Rahul Bhatt, Piyush Mishra and few others. However, the guests claim that the highlight of the wedding was the typical South-Indian meal that was prepared by Kalki’s mother; the meal was served in banana leaves!

Kalki is working on ‘Shaitan’ a project that will produced by Kashyap. The couple is busy with the promotion plans of ‘Shaitan’ that is set to hit the screens by June!
