    You know you are courageous, cultured, strong, sophisticated, fit, capable, generous, funny and intelligent. However, at times you can’t help feeling that the most important thing in the world seems to be the fact that your head is a few inches closer to the ground than the average man’s. It frustrates, depresses and baffles you no end. Mostly, you truly realise your value and know that you are worth your salt but many a time, others don’t see it that way. Why? Because your short height tends to eclipse all your lofty attributes. Willy-nilly, a great importance is attached to one’s height by today’s society. As a result, a lot of shorter people often become the butt of others’ ridicule and an easy target for bullies. Research has indicated that people who are taller generally have an edge over their shorter counterparts. Their tall stature contributes greatly towards an increased happiness index as they fare relatively better in personal, social and professional lives. Things such as not being taken seriously, not being able to reach high shelves, not being able to wear off the peg clothes and not being able to reach even kitchen cupboards because of being short dents a person’s confidence and self-esteem. There’s an adage that height brings honor. If you too want to improve your personality by gaining height, do not stop short of going through the article below.

    Healthy Diet
    The importance of healthy diet cannot be undermined in our overall well-being including our personality and height. Ensure that you have a healthy diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains and lean meat, especially if you are in the adolescent stage. Having healthy meals is the only way your body can get the proper amount of vitamins, minerals, proteins, fats and carbohydrates so very essential for the growth and development of your muscles and tissues. It can also help you increase your height by achieving the most out of your body through extending, strengthening, lengthening and stretching.


    Catch some Z’s
    Like your diet, the advantages of your shut eye too must never be ignored for your overall health. Adequate amount of sleep is mandatory for gaining height. This is because your brain needs some relaxation through sleep so that it can buck up to release the growth hormone when you are awake. Height is the lookout of your pituitary gland. A brain deprived of sleep results in a sluggish pituitary gland which then hampers the release of growth hormone in the body. Come what may, you must be careful never to compromise on precious sleep lest you end up compromising on your height.


    Though it is still not clear to what extent this technique can foster height, it can certainly improve your posture if it is faulty. Rectification in one’s posture often makes you gain some extra height.

    Research has shown that yoga helps one become flexible while stabilizing the mind and senses. It has been practiced in India since ancient times and today many people are known to resort to this age old regimen as it promotes personal health, spirituality and wellness. However, when it comes to its influence on height increase, you can hope to gain height only if you are in your growth phase. It elongates your spine thus developing your spinal muscles that can make you look taller with proper posture.

    The basic diet for weight gain that should contain nutritious, high calorie foods. carbohydrate is also assential part for the weight gain. The diet for the carbohydrate meal bread, potatoes, brown rice, pasta, couscous,fresh and dried fruits.

    List of some food effective in gaining weight. Baked potatoes, protein shakes, peanut butter, corn syrup, beverages, noodles, pasta and bakery items.

    Sukhasana - The first exercise is called the Sukhasana and it is the “centered” position from which all other yoga moves originate.
    It is important that you learn this position because it will help you control your breathing and make you better aware of your body. Furthermore, it tones your lower back and hips, helping the cartilage in those areas to decompress.
    You will want to sit on the floor in a cross-legged position, your hands resting on your knees.

    Focus on controlling your breathing so that it is deep and at an even pace. Keep your spine perfectly aligned and push your buttocks to the floor and gently lower your knees.
    Take several, at least 5, deep breaths and then inhale as you raise your arms upward and over your head. Bring your arms down gently and steadily, exhaling as you do, and then repeat this entire move 5 to 7 times more.
    Trikonasana - also called the Triangle, is the second yoga exercise we will discuss. This is slightly more advanced than the Sukhasana.
    It will help improve your balance and therefore help you have good posture. Also, it is a very good exercise to use if you want to center yourself and relieve tension.

    To begin, stand up with your legs about 3 to 4 feet apart and your feet parallel to one another.
    Then, rotate your left foot 90 degrees to the left and your right foot 45 degrees inward.
    Inhale and raise your arms to the side so that they are level and parallel to the floor.
    Exhale and turn your head to face down the length of your left arm and check that your left knee is lined up with your left ankle.
    Take one deep breath and then stretch towards your left ankle while you tilt your left hip down.
    Once you have reached your maximum stretch, rotate your arms so that your left hand can now rest against the inside of your calf and your right arm points towards the ceiling.
    Turn your head so that you are looking in the direction of your right arm and take several deep breaths.
    Then, inhale and straighten your body followed by an exhale as you lower your arms to your hips.
    Pivot on your heels and face forward once more. Then, repeat this movement on the right side of your body .
    Dog and Cat - The Dog and Cat movements are very popular exercises because they extend your spine fully in two different directions.
    This extension will stretch every cartilage disc in your spinal column. While these are typically two separate movements, we are combining them together so that your body can get the maximum flexibility and height gain.


    You will begin the exercise on your hands and knees with your hands slightly ahead of your shoulders and knees hip width apart. Inhale and tilt your pelvis up and curve your spine so that your stomach drops towards the ground and your head is up.
    Fully stretch your body, but gently, and then move into the cat position by reversing the curve of your spine.
    You should finish with your pelvis down and chest and stomach in. Move your body through this movement fluidly, repeating the full cycle many times .

    Eating healthy when you are young and now can help you reach your height potential, but it's not likely that you'll ever be 5' 10" or 6'. It does suck though, I'm only 5 7 and have had the same problems with girls taller than me. You'll be fine though, trust me.

    Body have its own procedures and it grows in its ways. There are few people who are not much taller in height. Which makes them feel uncomfortable and the adopts many ways to look tall. But the most natural way to get proper height and look tall is wearing high heels.

    Great threat on how to gain weight and must be beneficial for skinny people. List of some more food to gain weight.
    Granola, avocados, fried or fatty food, sweet, beverages and white flour products.

    I think confidence is important not height.many people we can see around us with a less than average height but still they work confidently in this society.No one have a time to count your height in this world.Just behave confidently in the society that's it.For the mental satisfaction try these exercise.
