As another list of entries to Indian panorama is out, Malayalam films once again shines with a total of seven entries.Moreover it’s Santosh Sivan’s magnum opus Urumi starring Prithviraj, Pradhu Deva, Vidya Balan, Genelia D’Souza and Arya, which is selected as the opening movie of the Indian Panorama section of this year’s International Film Festival of India in Goa.

The six other Malayalam films also made into the list of 23 films selected to the panorama section from the 118 entries.

The jury headed by Sai Paranjpye who gave out the list yesterday also named India’s Oscar contender and National Award-winner Salim Ahamed’s Adaminte Makan Abu, Samir Thahir’s ‘Chappa Kurisu’, Babu Janardhanan’s Bombay March 12,VK Prakash’s Karmayogi, Madhav ramadas’s ‘Melvilasam’ and Rajesh Pillai’s ‘Traffic’ as the best of Indian films of the year.

Bollywood is represented with Parvin Dabas’ Sahi Dhande Galat Bande, Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Shagird and Zoya Akhtar’s Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.and Sanjoy Nag’s gay-themed Memories in March.
