A few weeks back ago when ‘Mausam’ released, it proved to be a mighty disappointment amongst the audience and a major box office flop, hence turning out to be a losing preposition for all involved. However one actor who could well have been glad to leave that experience behind and look into future is Sonam Kapoor, what with ‘Players’ round the corner. “Wait for ‘Players’ to arrive, it would change the way audience would look at her,” says a close associate of the actor, “It is an Abbas-Mustan thriller and the men-in-white certainly know how to present their girls. They changed the entire persona of Priyanka Chopra (Aitraaz) and Katrina Kaif (Race) after working with them. Sonam too has been presented like never before in the film and she would be making a cool style statement all over again.”
Well, we only hope this indeed turns out to be the case. Yes, we love the ‘Masakali’ girl but a bit of ‘Zara Zara Touch Me’ act won’t do any harm at all! Moreover, given the kind of reaction that the First Look of ‘Players’ has fetched for itself, especially the cool chick persona that Sonam is bearing in the film, one would pretty much agree that the Kapoor girl has most definitely moved on.
A multi starrer that stars Abhishek Bachchan, Bobby Deol, Bipasha Basu, Neil Nitin Mukesh, Omi Vaidya, Sikander Kher, Johny Lever, Vyacheslav Razbegaev, Aftab Shivdasani and Vinod Khanna in principal roles, ‘Players’ has music by Pritam, action by Allan Amin and releases all over on 6th January 2012.
