Societe Generale Global Solution Centre (SG GSC), a subsidiary of the France based Societe Generale Group, today announced the second phase of their unique scholarship programme--SG GSC India Talent Scholarship-- as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives to fund higher education for talented students with financial difficulties.
This is the second year of the SG GSC India Talent Scholarship programme. This year it received around 150 applications from top institutes in India, of which the top ten deserving students were awarded the scholarship.


SG GSC leadership team selected the scholarship recipients after face to face interview and after evaluating various factors like academic performance, need, impact and the potential recipient ambitions, official sources here said.


The candidates who got selection are students of Indian Institute of Management-Ahmedabad, Indian Institute of Management-Tiruchirappalli, Indian School of Business-Hyderabad, Indian Institute of Management-Bangalore and International Institute of Information Technology-Bangalore, the sources added.


Referring to the unique element of the programme, they said its prime objective was to groom the future leaders and to this end in mind its mentorship programmme would assign each student to a senior manager post in the company.
