‘Mankatha’ rakes in 130 crores!

What a journey it has been for team ‘Mankatha’ after it released in theatres across the state as well as out side.

This Venkat Prabhu offing has raked in a whooping 130 crores and still counting! The film recently crossed its grand 100th day and still manages to attract crowds after so many days after its release, just due to the sheer star value attached to ‘Thala’ Ajith, the stunts in the film, as well as the songs have all paving way for this roaring success at the box office!

‘Mankatha’ was produced by Dayanidhi Alagiris’s Cloud Nine Pictures for 40 crores. Right from the day it opened (August 31), the film saw huge crowds at all the theatres it released with the crowd ranging from grand children to grand parents crossing all age groups and sections of the society.

Now Sun Pictures, the main distributors of the film have reportedly come forward and officially announced that the box office collections that ‘Mankatha’ has brought in is a plump 130 crore rupees! Media gurus have called this a jackpot of sorts.

There are now reports doing rounds in some parts of K’wood that seeing the huge collections of ‘Mankatha’ and not to mention Thala’s star value media moghul Sun Pictures might step forward yet again to distribute ‘Billa 2′ as well.
