    Default Handling large file uploads

On a project I'm currently working on, we need to find a way to transfer large video files (up to 100 megs) via a web browser, with a progress bar. As far as I know, it isn't possible to do this purely in php, because the script is only run once all the data has been posted, right? What's a good way to go about this, then? I know of Java based solutions, but they all seem to be server based, which is not a possibility for me.

    Thanks
