I never hesitate to try new technologies and softwares and if its free then no reason for not trying it.

I use Google Talk. The only thing that i dont like in google talk is the absence of the buzz(Ctrl+G) sound!
The program is of very small size and doesnt need much of resources.

    Default Google talk rocks!

Yeah I've been using it all the time since it came out, it makes things much easier, especially if everyone gets it...

I've been using it for some time too.
Seems better then SKYPE or other similar progams.
The only thing I'm not sure about - is there a program that allows you to use g-talk without installing it on a shared computer? So that you can start it from usb, and use it normally?

I'm a little late on this topic, but, I've been using it since it was released, aside from the lack of a file transfer protocol, I think it's perfect... stripped down, no hassle chat.

Best of all, no damn emoticons

I've been using Google Chat ever since it came out. I downloaded Gtalk, and have been using it as my primary messenger program since. I have tried MSN and YIM, and didn't really like either.

The other messenger program I use is GAIM, so I can log into all my accounts on different messenging systems at the same time.

But I prefer Gtalk, and use it quite a lot.

One of the thing Gtalk has that I really love is the ability to save chats. I tend to have some serious chats, and it's nice to be able to go back and read over them again.

And the simplicity is great, too.
