Surya after acting in the film Ezham Arivu is acting in the film titled Maatran. Kajal Agarwal is pairing with Surya in this film. Sachin Khedekar and others are also starring in this film. The film which is being directed by K V Anand has the music of Harris Jayaraj. This high budgeted film is being produced by A G S Entertainments.


The film Ayan which had the combo of Surya- K V Anand turned out to be a super hit and because of this there are lots of expectations about Maatran among the people. Right from the day the shooting of the film commenced, there was a tough competition among the distributors to acquire the rights of this film at any cost.
Surya is donning five different kinds of roles in this film which has the story of espionage thriller. The shooting of this film has taken place in Russia, Serbia and Albania.


This film which is being dubbed in Telugu has been titled Duplicate has been acquired for a high price by Telugu distributors.


Maatran is likely to hit the screens during the last week of May or first week of June.
