my FTP wont let me access it...

I had the same problems many people had. I could log into my ftp fine but it wouldnt let me transfer any files, giving me all kinds of errors and other messages. Then I downloaded WS_FTP, a program that does ftp . It is much easier for beginners, but I had a similar problem: any file I tried to transfer, it would try, then say the site is busy. Mods or Admins, or anyone else, do you know why its all busy and won't let me transfer files? Please Help!

It won't let me transfer files or even make a new folder. I am logged in correctle, for I have checked many times for that, but it says I dont have access to do anything...

but the error message said:

550-Can't create directory: Permission denied
550-0 files used (0) - authorized: 100000 files
550 0 Kbytes used (0) - authorized: 51200 Kb

again I checked all the fields, the site name, my username, and the password, which are all correct. so i dont know what the problem is... :?:

i have the same problem. my pc won't let the fpt. have acces to the internet. is this becouse of my firewall or my virus programe ora are there other things that can couse this?

Try downloading CuteFTP, I hope CFE can upload it on his server, its realy a good FTP.

Hi, what are FTP softwares good for, does they offers anything advance or better than ftp brower IE?

chek out filezilla on CNET.com for a free ftp tool. Also, disable all virus, filter software to allow ftp to work correctly. I have had to uninstall my content filter software for ftp to work at all.

FTP has always worked for me, but now it's doing strange things aswell :S

I checked, and I have used around 7 megs of the 50 allowed... To make sure I deleted some old files and tried uploading again.

Again no cigar :S

I think sometimes the FTP goes down thats why it has those errors, I seldom experience it though.

Use Cuteftp, Smartftip or Fillezilla, its way better than ftp with IE
