decreasing photo size
In order to make a lot of use of my webspace, I want to keep my displayed photos to a minimum of MB size.
Two photos of my page have exactly the same features:
Width: 700 pixels
Height: 527 pixels
Document size:
Width: 24.69 cm
Height: 18.69cm
Resolution: 72 dpi
However, one photo 76 KB heavy and the other 460 KB. Why is that?? How can I make the bigger photo smaller? I'm using photoshop. The quality of both photos is enough good for me.
Thanks for helpful answers!!

When you save, push save as, and where it says .PSD / .PDD
Click on that and you should get a map, put gif or JPG for smaller size of pictures.
PNG is also a very small type. and those are the most common image types.

thanks for the hint. although both of my pictures are .jpg. So, still I don't know why one is so much smaller than the other one. Does anybody know about that??
Thanks!

There are picture size reducers, just search in google.com for Picture Size Reducer, and I'm sure you'll find something.
Big PIctures with low sizes tend to make the picture more crapper isntead of good looking.

1]iF YOU HAVE MICROSOFT PICTURE MANAGER IN COMPUTER, there is a picture compress option there..you can try that,
2] try changing the color format from 256 bit to 32 bit(but you will loose quality)

u can use the photoshop cs 2 to do this.

Try looking for JPEG_PNG_Stripper (http://fileforum.betanews.com/detail...r/1108018044/1)
It removes the data embedded by graphics program such as Adobe,...
No picture quality is lost

Thanks for the suggestion ronnie, that really works good.
That should reduce my web page size by around half and they should be loading much faster than before
