    Default Password Revealed

    When i ever i sign into my FTP account thru IE or any brower, and when i am in the File manager my password shows up in the TITLE & ADDRESS bar),

    why is this happening,

    is it happening only to me or to every one?

    i know with FTP client this will not happen, as a FTP client works in a different way, i want a solution for IE or other browsers

    the black spots show UId and pwd

    As far as I am aware, this happens to everyone and is the standard for FTP. You can FTP directly to your account through MS Internet Explorer by typing in the address bar:
    ftp://username:[email protected]
    Alternatively, you can try the following so that your password is not in the address bar:
    ftp://[email protected]

    Yes Eric is right, this happens to everyone, but don't worry noone should be able to see it (ecept for you and the admin team)...

    I suggest SmartFTP.

    Even in your FTP Folder (browser) your the only one who can see the Password. The administration is even not going to look at passwords unless its abosolutely a problem and a must to do.

    Also you didn't have to blod out your bizhat.com name. :P

    Anyway just stick with the password showing if you feel safe enough to use it.

    Only the people who look at your monitor is the people able to see your password.
