Cast: Jyothikrishna, Preethi Bhandari, Rani, Thalaivasal Vijay,
Direction:
Jyothikrishna

AM Jothikrishna, son of veteran producer AM Rathnam, is back with ‘Oo La La La’ but in a dual role for he not only directs the movie but has taken on an added responsibility, that of donning the lead role.

Though he does play his part rather well as the hero, Jothikrishna has apparently faltered in the more important role, that of the director. It is this slip-up that proves to be a little costly as the movie teeters a bit aimlessly, so to speak.

Jothikrishna who has often taken credit for bringing actresses like Ileana, Tamannah and Shriya Saran to Kollywood, seems to have got the title right and little else.

A stuttering screenplay pegs the movie back and Jothikrishna’s confusion as to whether to plump for an all-out humour route or a serious one, adds to the problems.

Despite the flaws, Jothikrishna has done a neat job in front of the camera, which comes as a surprise.

Getting into what the story is all about, Surya (Jothikrishna) is a jolly-good youth, who only thinks about chasing and befriending girls. Somehow it happens that girls avoid him.

There is a twist when he meets the heroine Preethi (Divya Bhandari). Her friendship brings about a change in fortunes for Surya as he is able to attract more girls.

Meanwhile, Preethi is slowly drawn towards the hero and is on the verge of taking the relationship a step ahead, when she realizes that Suriya had used her as bait. Subsequently, Surya realizes that his attitude wouldn’t take him too far. But, fate has something else in store for him and what is that forms the rest of the movie.

Jothikrishna despite all the flaws deserves a pat for his promising debut as an actor while the heroine Divya Bhandari looks good and makes an impression. Ganja Karuppu’s comedy is a disappointment.
