I don't think so, pitbulls(this includes practicaly all dogs) are usualy only aggressive if they are tought to be, or are in a position in which they must defend themselves. At least, that's my experiance with them. Though, I'm sure there are pitbulls out there that are just plain mean.

It also applies to children. If you're mean to them, they'll grow up mean.

I've personally been attacked by one, and I do not believe they should. It's all in the way that the animal is raised, and some people are just not suitable to own pets.

I also think it's kind of inhumane to get rid of a whole kind of animal, for any reason.

I guess people should have a right to own pit bulls as pets. However, those same owners should be held liable for their pets actions.

If a pit bull attacks someone, the owner needs to pay whatever fines are issued. If a pit bull kills a person, the owner should be put in prison and fined financially.

If these fines seem to harsh, one shouldn't own such a dog.

    Default SHould pitbulles be banned?

Ban the deed not the breed. Purebred dogs owned by responsible dog owners are seldom agressive (unlewss their owners want them to be) in that case ban the owners.

A properly socialised dog is gentle and considerate and sees all humans as alpha.

I believe all dogs are a reflection of the owner. Therefore....No.
