I am agree with Guttu, last time my cousin was using Norton antivirus software, one night , my cousin surfed the internet with bad porn sites, and thier computer got many viruses,,, he tried to scan with dat software, altough antivirus was showing many viruses,, but it was not able to delete some powerfull kinda viruses, and thereafter his P.C was showing him porn pop ups continuously, and was too slow, then his friend suggest him to format the drive otherwise you hard disk will be corrupted, he did, and got a fast and formated PC, he had already backed up his P.C's important files.

I always suggest three Don'ts in Windows
Don't use Internet Explorer
Don't use Outlook (Express)
Don't use MS Office.
No spyware/worm.virus can enter the system.
AND THEN DON'T USE WINDOWS, use linux instead.

The Easiest way to get rid of spyware I feel is:
1. Keep away from dangerous sites *(porn and those providing pirated software)
2. Open Explorer, Go to Windows/System32 folder. Select details and sort the files on ascending dates. Watch for the latest additions. Any .exe file there that you are sure that you have not installed and is not a part of the Original Windows (XP files would be of the date when the Windows was installed, check for later tha that). delete all such files. Initially you may send them to Recycle Bin, if there is no harm to the system, delete them foerever for the posterity.

u can modify file without changing date stamp
also u can create file with a datestamp
