    Default Heard of python ?

Anyone heard of the language python ?

Could anyone give more info on this ?
Is it more powerful than php?

I heard that it stores the content and the presentation in 2 different place and when the page is requested it combines both and sends it back to browser...

Is there any good site where i could learn more about it ?

I have python to me its more like CGI and perl, its not much difference in my opinion, but python is what controls certain file extensions. <- I think that part is true.

itz a open source project available free.

Python 2.4.2 is the current production version of Python. You should start here if you want to learn Python or if you want the most stable version. Here are some quick download links; if you want the MD5 checksums and OpenPGP signatures

(for Unix or OS X compile)
    http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.2/Python-2.4.2.tgz

(for Unix or OS X compile, more compressed)
    http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4...-2.4.2.tar.bz2

(Windows binary -- does not include source)
    http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4.2/python-2.4.2.msi

(Windows Itanium binary -- does not include source)
    http://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.4...2.4.2.ia64.msi

    Python 2.3 OS X 10.2 installer
    http://ftp.cwi.nl/jack/python/mac/Ma...-OSX-2.3-1.dmg

    OpenPGP Public Keys

Starting with Python 2.3, the release manager has signed both the source tarball and the Windows executable with their OpenPGP key:

    * Anthony Baxter (key id: 6A45C816)
    * Barry Warsaw (key id: ED9D77D5)

You can view the standard documentation
