    Default MySQL Remote Access

I develope web pages using Code Charge Studio. I've noticed that i cannot connect to my database when using applications that require a remote connection. It's become impossible to develope dynamic pages without going through the trouble of setting up a local MySQL server.

Is this a safety issue? Is it possible to re-enable this feature for me?

    Thanks,

where have you saved your database, is it in the same server or in a really remote location or just in the same computer just configured to be used as a remote connection.

    Do you have any firewall

    Do you use routers?

Without more information, it is hard to tell

    Default mysql - remote

I think using remote mysql databses will make the website slow as it hhas to connect to another server , authenticate, connect to database , retrive , close it , and display it.

Moreover it is a risky one as the mysql database password is sent to another server and anyone could see it if there are no proper security protocols.

Also both the computer must be configured properly ... the remote server must be config to accept remote connections..

Thus if the data is not so important u culd use remote databases.
