Default Has anyone tried http://free.hostdepartment.com ?

I set up an account last night. They said it was completely free WITH NO POPUP ADS. And now today, I gave a friend a link, and there were so many popups that her computer froze!

I was just wondering if anyone here had tried that too. And if so, did your site come with popups?

    *grrr*

At least it's not only me! :(

I was looking around for a link to send them an e-mail about it, and they didn't even have anything like that up! So I used the form you're supposed to use to report abuse of their services...grrrr. Stuff like that is so--so--UGH.

 LOL I wonder if they'll even reply to my message

    8) hi,

try next services on next web browser: http://www.spymac.com

they give quiet interesting quotes for users in free of charge, as:
    1) 1Gb mail account;
    2) 100Mb www user
    3) 250Mb photo gallery
hope it will resolve some of your problems... :P

Default one link more... THAT IS IT!!!

    :D
Take a look at this for free webhost
    http://www.100webspace.com/freeplan.html

It offers 100MB 0f space, 1GB of bandwidth, CGI, PHP, SSI, FrontPage Extensions, Perl, POP3, Forwarding, Web-based Email.
    Autoresponders.
    SSL.
    MySQL databases.
    Statistics.

It's one of the best that I have found for now!!!

AND: I forgot to mention that it doesn't have any ads, pop ups not even a text link...

IMHO, BizHat is better than all of those. All of the space and bandwidth that you would ever need... direct support from the Admin in the boards... no ads whatsoever... free forums and counters... why even bother with other hosting services? :D

well. there are several thing i don't really like about bizhat.
    1) FTP renaming and moving file is not working # might be setup that way
    2) No CGI, PHP etc. support
    3) Sometimes, site loading is slow. # i am not on dial-up
    4) have to ask in order to maximize your bandwidth
    5) limited space - 50MB

However, there are some positive things
    1) Downloading something directly using Download Manager, speed was always around 100KByte/sec.
    2) Reliable so far - 1 month
    3) NO ADS
    4) You CAN create double account for more bandwidth
    5) The forum is kind of quiet, but it's a nice community
