Engine
Suzuki Bandit gulps its energy from 1255 cc four stroke engine which has four cylinders placed in-line. The engine delivers a maximum torque of 108 Nm at 3750 rpm. A maximum power of 97 bhp is available on the crank shaft at 7500 rpm. The bike accelerates quickly in the initial gears and picks some time to touch its top speed. The engine is liquid cooled and has a dual over head camshaft to run the inlet and exhaust valves. Suzuki Bandit 1250 SA engine uses fuel injection system. The emission from this engine runs through a PAIR system (Pulsed AIR) at the exhaust of the engine. This system forces fresh air in small pulses over the exhaust and this process would burn the hydrocarbons from engine exhaust and lessen the amount of carbon mono-oxide that reaches the atmosphere. The catalytic converter further does its job in the silencer.

Design And Comfort
The 'S' series of Bandit bikes generally have a cover (fairing) at the front of the bike which starts with a wind shield and ends at the top of the engine assembly. The rear view mirrors, the indicators and the head lamp are all fit with this fairing. The height of the seat is adjustable and the bike is designed in a manner to couple the sporty features with the riding comforts of a standard street bike. The chrome coated uplifted large silencer goes very well with the black engine and transmission exterior.
