    Default PHP

Now I'm a total newb since I haven't been working with web design for around 4 or 5 years.

How do I set up my system to be able to code with PHP? Is there any install required or can I just pick up a tutorial site and start coding, expecting it to work properly?

you can understand PHP? I have been struggling for ages trying to get my head wrapped around the syntax. i really want to understand, so if you find a site that has an easy explanation please pass it along.

The best way to learn PHP is to read the documentation at http://www.php.net/manual/en/

You can try to download any e-book about PHP from here.

Also ask google.com for some tutorials there is a plenty of it :)

Meh, PHP classes? There are enough resources out there that you can use for free as mentioned in this thread you can use that you don't have to pay for.
