Mohanlal Achayan in NATTURAJAVE
After a hiatus, Mohanlal is back to family entertainers with Shaji Kailas's NATTURAJAVE, where he will play the tough guy, Pulikattil Charley. Mohanlal has always clicked with the masses in Achayan characters. He has twirled his moustache, wears silk kurtas and dhothis and a flashy gold chain in the film. The film traces the life of Charley, a rich planter who is a sort of a revolutionary. Siddique dons the role of George Kutty while Kalabhavan Mani has an important role in the film. KPAC Lalitha plays Charley's Valiammachi whom he calls Thankammachi while Meena and Nayantara are the lead female heroines of the film.
The cast also includes Saikumar, Jagathy Sreekumar, Vijayaraghavan, Riyaz Khan, Jagadhish, Kottayam Nazir among many others. The film will be brought to the theatres by Aroma Mani. The film is produced by Antony Perumbavoor under the banner of Aashirwad Cinemas. One of the highlights of the film is the script by TA Shahid.
While all the other film shootings were cancelled due to the cinema bandh, the crew of NATTURAJAVE went on with their schedule. But eventually the team had to give in and pack up because the producer Antony Perumbavoor got a notice from all leading theatres in the state stating that his film will be banned and won't be given play time if he continued.
