Site speed

Hi,

I just deployed my website today. It's pretty small. but I found the page loading spead is pretty slow. it takes about 30s to load the banner image. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to increase the speed?

yea, the hosting server's speed use to be around 120kbyte/sec whenever i am downloading something from my own site just for testing purpose.
now it only goes up to around 20 kbyte/sec.
don't know why, the admin checked and said nothing is wrong
so don't know when the speed is going back up again
hope it would be tomorrow

also, what's the site of your url?
it might also be you put too many big images on your frontpage
