Wud u work in ur country or abroad??

I've seen many of my friends going abroad
after studying here. This is bcoz they want to make money
It is difficult to make money in our country
But does dat mean we shud leave and serve others??
Shud I leave my country which gave me friends,food
shelter and all other??

In my opinion



there is no need to leave ur country
Atleast this is the only time we get to return
something back to the country

I know that
there will b hardly any person who hates his country
But I'm afraid that inspite of this
many don work for their country
they serve countries like UK,US and other
where they go jus bcoz of hefty pay

and I know hardly any person who goes
abroad to learn and comes back to India
to serve his country

I strongly disagree with your point Guttu. When chance comes we should go to foreign countries to improve our financial status and then Reutn to our homeland. I repeat again "We should return to our motherland".

I dunno what this "our" referred to
if this is referred to country then we live in a country
wid mos intellegnet persons in the world
and we can if come together solve any financial problems

The above is true if "our" is referred to urself
we shud not depend on other countries for financial

Sad to say but in our country (Philippines), working abroad is far better serving our nation rather than staying at home working locally.

Just for your information, the easiest way to become a hero in our country is not really dying for it against the oppressors or invaders, but to WORK ABROAD and bring in the money of Uncle Sam.

That's true Guttu. But tremendous braindrain is currently happening in our country today. Our nation is in dire need of U.S.$ to thwart the present setbacks in our economy. Our people are rushing abroad just to earn the much-needed dollars.

I would add more options to the poll.
Money is not everything but it is strong enough to drive me to working abroad. If you are working in other countries for a short amount of time, then its OK.
I do want to work in other countries myself and not solely because of the money, but also for the new life experience.
If you are working, then you are serving your country, no matter where about it might be , thats my view. :D

Though I am not Indian, I would like to comment on my own experiences. As an American, perhaps my perspective holds an inverse relationship with your own. In the U.S., for instance, the standard of living is very high and money is readily available, even for our poorest citizens (though they wouldn't think so). The majority of native born Americans who travel and work abroad are very few in comparison to people of other nations, hence Americans tend to be fairly myopic and, by extension, "naive" to some degree. I bring this up because this is one of the reasons, I feel, that some Americans do decide to travel abroad. In other words, Americans tend to work abroad in order to view the world through the context of other cultures, rarely ever for monetary reasons.
