HI GUYS MY SYSTEM IN SOME PROBS CAN U HELP ME HOW TO SOLVE IT!!!

IAM USING WINDOWS 98
256 MB RAM

WHEN EVER I UPDATE OR INSTALL SOME SOFTWARE AN ERROR OCURRING AS.....

WINDOW
A FATAL EXCEPTION OE HAS OCURRED AT 0028:C004F320 IN VXD VCCACHE(01) + 00000B20.

*THE CURRENT APPLICATION WILL BE TERMINATED.

I REFORMATED THE OS TOOO BUT SAME PROBLEM OCUURS...


PLZ DO THE FAVOUR FOR ME.

and I feel sorry 4 ur RAM
ur RAM is faulty. Plz replace it
if u hav 2 RAM modules then try removing 1
1 may b gud

But I am sure its RAM problem

yes guttu iam waited for a long time for help, at last u helped

at first this problem occured,then i changed my ram.
i am using single slot of 256 ram,,, other slot is empty only...
is there is a cause of any other problem..

i cant able to install the other os also...

try to change the slot
put the RAM in other slot

But I don think this will work
as the RAM is faulty in my view
this is wat my experience sez

U can try RAM 4m 1 of ur friends
if he gives or reclaim warranty on ur current RAM
which is about 5 years for most RAM

But u mus hav the bills

Not all software works with Windows some are meant for other operating systems.

Some refuse to work with anything under Windows 2000
That means like windows 95 and 98, some software won't work with them.

Sorry to both of u
but u dint notice the error he gave
and that error comes only when there is faulty memory

If the applications are not made for WIN 98
the during installation they say like that
and the installer exits

U can try installing WMP 10(wothout using mod patches)
or TWEAK XP etc..
they will exit while installing

Not all programs detect your OS etc...
Some things will just falt out install and be done with it.

I have programs that do that, and I need win 98 to play some of the stuff that I do wonna play.

yeajh i agree wid that too
but that happns wid old progs and installers
the new installers hav the ability to perform cheks

and IMO he is not that dumb to install progs
not supported by the WIN 98

and while reading this I also realised that
there is 1 more possibility of this error
that is
BIOS CACHING

So mazza u can chek that in ur BIOS
if u hav changed this setting after installin the RAM
Plz b careful wid BIOS settings
while changing them
