Default Trick to Shutdown Xp Faster!!

    Start Regedit.

    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE/SYSTEM/CurrentControlSet/Control.

    Click on the "Control" Folder.

    Select "WaitToKillServiceTimeout"

Right click on it and select Modify.

Set it a value lower than 2000 (Mine is set to 200).

It can even damage the harddisk, its not my thought i read it on another forum, some peeps said that windows clean up most of the swapfle after we execute the shutdown command, if windows shutdowns during the process in which the hdd head continueously reading/writing to clean the swap file then it can damage it. Its not always happens but the probability increases as much as you reduce the time. So be careful what you do.
