Agree, the colours are not really suitable. Also, perhaps its needed for your website to be so or something, but in my point of view, there is too much text. Not really very welcoming. Maybe try to use dropdown menus or something for the links on the left. It will cut down the the amount of text being exposed to the users upon entering the site.

It looks too pink for me. Also the menu bar on the left goes too far down. Makes the page very large and just has content on 1/4 of the page on a large part of it.

Like I tell to everyone with these kinds of sites if you have an eye catching template you get people attracted to the site and they will use it when they need to because it looks professional.
