Help: IE web browser can't save attached files from email.

When I go to any my email account like hotmail and yahoo online, and got some emails contain attached files, and click "save to disk", it will appear a window shows that save how many bytes, but finally it is always fail. I can't figure out why. :?: :cry:

95% chances are that you are using Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2, if thats the case then you are out of luck my friend, this is a known issue with Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 Build 5296 & older but i am not sure about the most newer builds, try to get the latest beta from the microsoft website or simly use another browser like firefox or Opera.

If like you said, I would like replace my IE browser with latest version.
But, I don't know how to replace it. If install the latest version, it will update old one?
If need uninstall old one first? Thanks. :?

Ok, this means you have Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2, does'nt you?
No it will not update the older build, you have to uninstall it first.
You will need to check the box saying "Show Updates" in the ad-remove programs control panel & then try to install the latest build downloaded from the microsoft and it might fix up your problem.

And why don't you try any other browser rather than using IE?

Yes, i already told her, if you don't like other browsers then switch back to Internet Explorer 6 SP2, as i have read that latest betas also have problems.
Not only you can't download attachments but you can't upload anything with Internet Explorer 7 Beta 2 when on http or https, no problem with ftps and telnet. Its a referrer problem.

You can install an alternate browser like Firefox or Opera.
