Director Akku Akbar and scenarist K Gireesh Kumar had created a blockbuster some years back called Veruthe Oru Bharya, with Jayaram and Gopika as a couple.

The film had narrated the story of an egoistic husband and his long-suffering wife.

Now the team is back with another story on a family, where the husband feels after several years of marriage that he could have gone for a better woman, while getting married!

Bharya Athra Pora is expected to attract the family audiences. Jayaram, whose last release Lucky Star, did an okay business banks heavily on this project.
