Cast: Vishwas Bharadwaj, Gamya Direction: BA Purushottam

‘Pagade’ is a film with purpose and dire need of today harmony in this ‘Bharatha Bhoomi’ is focused. With a captivating narration in the second half director Purushottam consumed more time in the first half to arrive at what he wants to tell. This is a socially responsible film that highlights the need of all those who come to India to remain loyal and truthful to the place they live. To get this piece of information from the protagonist the intriguing moments are not up to the mark in the screenplay.
The needle of suspicion on the third terrorist who has barged in to the country changing his mind and declaring that ‘Bharatha Bhoomi’ is great is laudable aspect. The attempt is good from producer Annappa and team but it is not convincing. At places like a hospital scene where protagonist is admitted the narration technique is good. From the angle of half a dozen characters director showcase the qualities of protagonist.
Twelve youngsters from Pakistan have arrived to watch the cricket match in India. In that three have not gone back. The intelligence gets the information that Karnataka is the target this time of terrorists of international strength.
In the Souhardha Nagar we find a model place because of the brilliance of Vishwas (Vishwas Bharadwaj). He has come to this place with a purpose. That is a secret till the end. He earns the goodwill from the work and plans he makes for Souhardha Nagara. He makes the people self reliant. He is liked by Srinivasa Shastry (Srinivasa Prabhu) daughter Nidhi (Gamya). Vishwas wants to explain his actual whereabouts. That takes a long time for him to explain but before that he has to meet the target by finishing off one of the key persons in Souhardha Nagar. Who is this Vishwas and he is looking for whom? It is the end part of the film when all key artists converge at one place.
Vishwas Bharadwaj actor from small screen big screen has taken strain in his first lead role. He has good chances of stay in big screen. He looks like another Saurav of Kannada cinema. He has to cut down his weight. Gamya has nothing to prove her mettle. She has to manage her teeth structure that comes in the way of acting. Srinivasa Prabhu, Dharma and Achyut Kumar are convincing.
What is not convincing is the music that stay away from the film from Sagar Nagabhushan and camera work of Gauri Venkatesh is in poor standards.
For the contents and attempt it is a passable film. It is a film of those who come to live from one place to another.
