AIM problem (constant disconnect)

i'm having trouble with aim. i have a wireless router and suspect that it's the cause for this trouble: aol instant messenger disconnects and reconnects at random.

i'm using a dell latitude csx 500mhz with an airlink+ 802.11g pcmcia card connecting into an airlink+ 802.11g router.

ooh... yeah that sounds like a router misconfiguration. Yo're router is cuting off constant streams of information flow, and you'll need to play with you router configuration to fix that.

aim uses a port to talk to the internet
for you case, it might be blocked temproarily
i don't exactly know what the configuration is, but you should get through it with the manual in hand
also, the major gold you want to do is to port forward the traffic to your computer or the wireless-enabled computer

did u try to change the physical location?
wat kind wireless card do u have?
there is different types, so u might be out of range or something
and it can also caused by other interferences from ur microwaves and other stuff
