yammy has a new version but ive tried it and it sucks dont work like ya want it to, this is its older version just run it.

now that its running,
u will see just a small box

Now first off all if the message archive is on the same computer u need to make sure there are messages in the archive. and enabled if not they wont even be in a folder..

go to My computer
then C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles u should see some folders with names duh, yours, if u have a yahoo acount and have been chatting on Y emssanger, and others if anyone else uses messanger.
go into one of them, then u should see more folders, u want the "Archive" folder, go into it, Now u should see a "Messages" folder, Go into it...
now there are more folders, each folder represents who u or they talked to...

go into 1 now u should see a bunch of .dat files...ok so ya have some files good,

now in Yammy, click on the folder icon, or go to File/Open, then browse to that location in yammy, click on open after ya click on the dat file and a window will pop up, saying user id: and friends ID both boxes will be already filled in. then hit ok and there ya go!!

if u find other ones on the net remeber to just grab C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\username folder

since the rest inside has to stay intact. then just put that folder in YOUR
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

so if ya took johns his would be on his pc,,,
C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles\john
then make it that way on YOUR pc, other wise yammy wont open it right it has to stay in C:\Program Files\Yahoo!\Messenger\Profiles

took me a bit to figure it all out.
