Looks like a very interesting site. You have some good information here but the advertising is over-powering it. I'd redo the home page and eliminate the ads there. You have enough interesting material to lead folks to the ads on other pages.

This is much better. If you want you could put an ad - say one 468 X 60 banner on the bottom. You have given your viewers a taste of what you have to offer "above the fold".
