As adults we need to teach our younger adults and children how to eat better. Cook the right foods and cut out all or some of the fat from the foods they eat. When you shop for food take them with you, let them read the labels to you as you shop. Gently push them towards the vegetables and healthier foods. Talk to them about cutting down on soda and go towards the fruit isle.Show them the same products with less salt or sweetners.

Let your children feel that shopping for healthy foods is a family decision. And if they cannot go with you to shop,then buy the products with less salt,less or low fat,choose fiber cereals, try buying water instead of carbonated drinks.Most children don't like vegetables, so think of smart ways to introduce them to the children. Have salads with each meal, let them choose the dressing they like if they will eat the salad. Blending fruits together to make a healthy drink is a good idea. Keep nuts handy, make it something to snack on, they are good for the body.

As a parent we need to practice what we say. So doing the same thing that you want your children to do is best. Be an example to them. Help your family to maintain a healthy lifestyle, start now.
