the 404 error that redirects to a domainstobuy setup page is there for a reason, to promote other people to set up an account there. also to have a unique error page you need to have access to the .htaccess file, which is not allowed.

Why this happen ? You don't care to create your web site properly.

You create your web site for showing your visitors your custom wonderfull 404 Error Page ?

So care about your web site. Make it error free. So there won't be any 404 Not Found errors. It will be better than worrying about 404 Error page redirect to DomainsToBuy.com

yea.. but in my point of view, they should make the 404 page look better. i think our 404 page looks crappy, at least give it some good color

think back, isn't the 404 page the front page of http://www.netfreehost.com/ ?
that's what it directs me to when i try to access http://404.bizhat.com/stuff/
if i am wrong, plz give me a link to it so i can redesign it

well if you want to forbid people from going to a folder, you can create your own custom 403 Forbidden page.

basically you make whatever page you want the 403 to be, name it index.htm, and put it in the folder you don't want people getting into.

or make an index that automatically redirects to whereever you want it to.

whichever fits your taste. though I still wouldn't mind custom error pages, but I can do without.
