Copying dvds between drives using nero6

I just purchased a pack of fujifilm 8x dvd+ discs to test out my newly installed dvd burner drive. When I tried making a backup of dvd with nero, it said "not enough space". The size of the discs are 4.7gb/120mins each. Do I need some kind of compression tool to compress the dvd before any copying is done?

I had that problem also, and it was very annoying as I tried several DVD-R disc (Which had more than enough space) and still failed.

I resorted to CloneDVD, it's much more user friendly and fast compared to Nero.
