Many say that the success of MANASINAKKARE is because of yester years queen Sheela. When some agree with this the others voice out the various other attributes of the film. Jayaram who starred in this film does not really care. The film has been successful ad that's it. He has already begun concentrating on his other projects.

Presently he is shooting for V M Vinu's MAYILATTAM. Jayaram plays a double role in this film. His heroines are Rambha and Indraja. Of late there were rumours that Jayaram would star with Bollywood star Zeenat Aman. But when asked with Jayaram he says that there are no such plans. No one has approached him regarding the same. His next project after MAYILATTAM is a comedy flick which will be directed by Roshan.
