i'm trying to uplaod phpBB but for soem reason it won't upload the .htacces file that is in the cache directory of phpbb. Is it because of the host or is the file just corrupt? Any kind of tip would be appreciated.

.htaccess is not supported. Forget it!

ok and since it says it's not needed it doesn't matter but what does the file do for phpbb?

phpBB will work fine with out the .htaccess file.
Almost 99% of the scripts will work with out the htaccess file.
