Lt Col Mohanlal said that he will not use the brand ambassador status of the Territorial Army for advertisements.

Addressing a press meet after completing two-days training programme at the Territorial Army headquarters in Kannur, he said that he feels honoured to be part of the TA. He said there are a lot of differences between the army and Territorial Army. Members of the Territorial Army should help them when needed.

Mohanlal, who appeared with battalion Commanding Officer Col Davidson Kolath and other officers, said more employed young people should join the TA as India was facing threats from inside and outside. He said that he had come to know of the TA while he was in Army camps as part of the shooting of Army-related films. The battalion here being the only citizen's Army unit in the State, it should be supported, he pointed out.
