With the advent of technology and fast paced development, environment degradation has reached its zenith. The pollution of all the natural resources is a common feature, especially in urban areas. With the increase in population, more and more resources are being exhausted, leading to increased levels of pollution. It has reached to an extent where nature itself is warning us. As a result, environmental education has become crucial for everybody, especially kids. This is because our future is dependent on the young ones and their understanding of the surroundings. Given below are some tips, using which you can educate your kids about environment.

* Water is one of the most precious natural resources, so do not waste it.

* Do not pollute water by throwing waste in it.

* Do not let your water tap run free while you are brushing, bathing or washing clothes.

* Do not waste paper, as it is made of tree bark. The more paper you waste the more trees will be cut.

* Do not throw waste here and there. Use dustbins for the same.

* Grow as many trees and plants in your surroundings as possible.

* Save energy and switch off lights when they are not in use.

* Do not use plastic bags. Rather, go for paper bags.

* Do not throw plastic bags here and there, as many animals die after consuming them.

* Save petrol and prefer traveling on foot to nearby places. This reduces air pollution also.

* Use a half flush for the bathroom, as it saves water.

* Throw waste in recyclable dust bins and use recycled products.
