How To Keep Kitchen Clutter Under Control

Does your kitchen look like a war zone? A cluttered kitchen is the nightmare that everyone wishes to avoid. Sometimes, inspite our best efforts the kitchen tends to get cluttered up and cooking in it becomes a big task. The kitchen is a very important room because it is where you prepare your food. If you fail to keep it clean and clutter free, you are compromising on your health. More often than not, kitchens get cluttered because you either buy too many things to put in it or fail to plan the space available to you efficiently. It does not matter if you have a big or a small kitchen as either of them can get cluttered. The key to having a clutter free kitchen is organising things in ergonomic ways so as to make the most of what you have. The arrangement shouldn’t be so intricate as to make cleaning a tedious and daunting task. This article will give you some tips on how to rearrange your kitchen in the best way possible.
Keeping The Kitchen Clutter Free
The key to having a clutter free kitchen is to keep only what you need in the kitchen and getting rid of everything else.
* If you have just moved into a new house and plan to set up the kitchen then make sure you plan on what you can fit into your new kitchen first. Make sure that the appliances that you buy are not too big for your kitchen.
* The first thing to do is to get rid of anything like jars, bottles, cans or boxes that are not being used for anything, but are still lying around.
* If you keep your fridge in the kitchen, make sure that you keep no stickers or other decorative pieces on the fridge door. It may seem like nothing, but a clean fridge will make the kitchen look much better. It is also advisable to keep
the top of the fridge clear.
* Keep small appliances like toasters and electric kettles in cupboards so as not to clutter up the kitchen counter.
* If you keep your cups and mugs on shelves, you can buy stands that allow you to put the cups and mugs one on top of the other. You could also get a stand that you can use to hang the mugs on.
* Store all your utensils in cupboards where they are easy to reach and don’t come in the way.
* Have hooks placed on the back of your kitchen door so that you can hang your apron on it.
* Arrange all the food items like cereal boxes, spice and other such things in the overhead cupboards.
* Ensure that you discard empty boxes in time and that you keep everything you pull out of a cupboard or the fridge back immediately after you are done using it.
* One of the easiest ways to get the kitchen cluttered up is to leave too many dishes in the sink. Make sure you wash all the dishes on time and put them away right after you are done with them.
Keeping a kitchen may seem like a lot of work, but once you make a habit out of it, you will have no problems in keeping your kitchen clutter free.
